Meet your healthcare practitioner

Lynn Cheng

L.Ac, Dipl.OM, E-RYT 500

I have worked in holistic health for more than 20 years and am a California and Nationally licensed Acupuncturist specializing in mental health, psycho-emotional issues, women’s health and pain management. Through my patients' and my own experience, it is clear that the mind, body, and spirit are interconnected. Well-being requires treating all three aspects. If we address only one part, we miss the bigger picture and can inadvertently overlook the root cause of illness.

My own story echoes this sentiment. Before embarking on my journey with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a number of unsettling and seemingly random symptoms upended my daily life: for several years, I experienced dizziness, vertigo, neuropathy, changes in vision and hearing, and memory loss. As these symptoms worsened, I underwent test after test and received neither answers nor treatment. That all changed, however, when I met with an acupuncturist for the first time. She understood exactly what was going on in my body; she was able to draw a direct connection to my emotional state and pinpoint why my health was declining. By honoring the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of my well-being, she was able to give me a TCM diagnosis and treatment plan.

Within a year of receiving acupuncture, taking carefully prescribed Chinese herbs, and making some lifestyle changes, I was back to myself, except now with a drive to learn this amazing medicine. I received my Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and graduated as the Valedictorian. Furthering my education, I finished a two year clinical integration program, studied Classical Chinese medicine, 5 Element theory, and received a certification in Facial acupuncture. Currently, I continue to study with my mentors in order to help others find their way back to health.

As your health care provider, I will treat you as a whole person, including your mind, emotions, spirit, and body, not just your illness, injury or disease. A treatment plan may include acupuncture, cupping, Chinese herbal medicine, heat therapy, dietary and lifestyle guidance, yoga, movement, self-massage, and drawing more awareness into your emotions and what your Spirit seeks. My goal is to provide you with the tools and resources to empower you to live your best life.
