"Can acupuncture and Chinese herbs help me?"

Interested to learn if acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine can help you? I'm happy to offer a FREE 15-minute phone consultation to address your concerns. Schedule an appointment online or contact me.

"What does the first visit entail?"

In your initial visit, we will discuss your current health concern(s), medical history, lifestyle, emotional state, treatment goals, and plans in detail. I will feel your pulse and take a look at your tongue to glean more information about your internal state. Based on all those factors, I will create a treatment plan and give an initial treatment. It may include acupuncture, cupping, Chinese herbal medicine, heat therapy, dietary and lifestyle guidance, yoga, movement or massage. Please allow 1.5-2 hours for this initial visit.

"How should I prepare for my visit?"

  • To save time, please print, fill out and bring these forms to your first visit. If you are unable to do so prior to your appointment, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time.
  • Eat a light meal about an hour before your appointment. Avoid eating a big meal, consuming alcohol, drinking or eating things that change the color of your tongue or exercising vigorously right before your visit.
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing. In most cases, removal of clothes is not needed. If it is required, a sheet will be provided to maintain your privacy.
  • "What are the visits like after my first treatment?"

These visits include an abbreviated consultation to discuss your current concerns, review of your prior issues, adjustments to treatment plan and an acupuncture treatment. It may include acupuncture, cupping, Chinese herbal medicine, heat therapy, dietary and lifestyle guidance, yoga, movement or massage. Please allow 1 hour for these follow up treatments.
